OUR STORY
Avrio was created from a love of good food, good drinks and bringing people together.
Joe is the driving force behind the kitchen, while Simon had always wanted to create a great bar and a welcoming place where people could relax, eat, drink and enjoy each other’s company.
GOOD FOOD, MADE PROPERLY
Our food is prepared from scratch in-house and cooked to order, with an emphasis on quality, flavour and good value.
The menu takes its inspiration from around the Mediterranean and is built around small plates that can be enjoyed however you like. Order something for yourself, share a selection around the table or keep adding dishes as the evening goes on.
Wherever we can, we also choose to work with and support local independent suppliers.
MORE THAN JUST A MEAL
Avrio is designed to work around you.
You might call in for a quick bite and a drink before heading elsewhere, meet friends over a table full of small plates, or settle in and make an evening of it.
Solo diners, couples and groups are equally welcome, and you’ll often find Joe or Simon here themselves. Being part of the restaurant day to day matters to us, we like knowing our customers and making people feel genuinely welcome.
SOMETHING GOOD TO DRINK
The bar has always been an important part of Avrio.
Alongside quality beers, spirits and cocktails, we have a carefully chosen wine selection with both still and sparkling wines available by the glass.
Our wine preservation system means those wines can be served as fresh as when the bottle was first opened, giving us the freedom to offer a more interesting selection by the glass.
If you fancy trying something different, just ask. We’re always happy to offer you a taste before you choose.
COME AS YOU ARE
Avrio is relaxed by nature.
We welcome locals, visitors to Holmfirth, solo diners, couples, friends and families. Dogs are welcome in our downstairs and outside areas too.
Our upstairs dining space can also be booked for larger groups, and for private bookings we have the flexibility to create a menu that works around the occasion.
Above all, we want Avrio to feel like somewhere you can settle in, enjoy yourself and stay a while.
